SPDC (Saving Pound Dogs Cyprus) non-profit organisation in Cyprus, run entirely by volunteers, which is dedicated to rescuing and rehoming stray dogs to loving homes in the UK and across Europe.
SPDC Rescue UK recently gained charity status and wanted a website to better showcase the SPDC dogs needing homes and communicate what they do and how people can get involved and help.
The website needed to be easy for the charity to update themselves, and include a portfolio of available dogs to include custom information, photos and video.
Website development
MailChimp integration
We built the website using WordPress, including functionality to add individual dog profiles and their specific information easily, and for the pages to essentially create themselves. We also added the ability for ‘happy endings’ stories to be added to the site by the team.
We linked the website up with MailChimp to allow people to sign up for their newsletter.
Within an hour of the site going live and shared, there had already been numerous enquiries about dogs available on the website.
The charity now plans to use the website to reach a wider audience, encourage more donations, and ultimately give their dogs a better chance of being discovered and adopted into a loving, forever home.
SPDC needed help to set up our charity website. We really had no idea where to start! Lorraine guided us through everything, she was extremely patient with my lack of knowledge about website related things. SPDC now have a website to be proud of. Thank you!
